The Grundy County Swiss Historical Society is looking for vendors for 2019's Annual Swiss Celebration at the Stoker-Stampfli Farm Museum in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee.

"We are celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the establishment of the Swiss Colony of Gruetli," organizer Jackie Lawley said in a statement. The event is Saturday, July 27.

The celebration's schedule already includes music by the Mountain Polka Band of North Carolina, food vendors with brats and sauerkraut, burgers and barbecue, Swiss cookies and other bakery goods, according to Lawley.

"We will have woodworking items (beautiful tables) and toys for kids," she said. "Someone will demonstrate soap-making, fly-tying, watercolor painting and quilting."

There will also be wagon rides, a bounce house, wine and cheese tasting and canned goods, Lawley said.

She said celebration organizers are looking for folks with talents in Dutch oven cooking, stump cooking, grilled corn on the cob, basket weaving, candle making, wrought iron work, scythe demonstrations, shingle splitting, picture taking, face painting, and arts and crafts of all kinds.

"Please come and share your skills with the community," she said.
