A new Yahoo! report says former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball coach Will Wade, who is now at LSU, was caught on tape by the FBI talking about making offers to recruits with basketball middleman Christian Dawkins, who was sentenced this week to six months in jail after being found guilty of fraud and conspiracy charges for facilitating payments to the families of recruits in 2017.

During the call with Dawkins, Wade says he made a "strong-ass offer" to a recruit while expressing his frustration that the offer hadn't been accepted yet.

"I was thinking last night on this Smart thing," Wade said, according to Yahoo Sports. "I'll be honest with you, I'm [expletive] tired of dealing with the thing. Like I'm just [expletive] sick of dealing with the [expletive]. Like, this should not be that [expletive] complicated."

"Dude," Wade said to Dawkins, "I went to him with a [expletive] strong-ass offer about a month ago. [Expletive] strong.

According to ESPN, Dawkins had at least three calls with a cellphone number belonging to Wade in summer 2017.

The report says Wade could face aggressive questioning if he is called to testify at the second trial in relation to Dawkins.

Defense attorneys are reportedly in the process of filing subpoenas for both Wade and Arizona men's basketball coach Sean Miller to testify for the defense at the second trial, according to Yahoo.
