A Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee, woman was charged Friday with DUI stemming from a crash with a Sequatchie Valley Head Start bus on State Route 108.
No children were injured after Shannon Hargis, 35, collided with the bus on Friday near Altamont, according to a social media post by the Grundy County Sheriff's Office.
"Thank you Miss Faith Caldwell for taking lifesaving actions today. Twelve children went home today because of your vigilance. ~ Sheriff Clint Shrum," the sheriff wrote in the post.
"Thanks for the fast action of the sheriff's office. We are feeling thankful that our children and staff are safe," a social media post by Sequatchie Valley Head Start stated Friday.
