TBI investigating two deaths in Crossville

NASHVILLE - Authorities in Tennessee are investigating two incidents that left two people dead and two more hospitalized.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesman Josh DeVine says the first happened Tuesday at a Crossville home, where deputies responded to a 911 call from someone saying he found a body. DeVine says that outside the home, deputies found a male victim dead from an apparent homicide. Though the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office initially deemed it a death by shooting, TBI says the ongoing investigation found that may not be the case.

DeVine says the second incident happened at another Crossville home where someone shot three people, killing 23-year-old Makayla Manning and injuring two others.

DeVine says deputies arrested a suspect who is being held for questioning in the incidents.

Authorities continue to investigate.
