Crash and debris spill caused traffic woes Thursday afternoon on I-24 east, I-75 north

Interstates 24 and 75 were clogged Thursday near their merger at mile marker two after debris spilled in the roadway and a separate crash nearby.

The left lanes were blocked on I-75 northbound at the I-24 interchange. The incident was reported at 2:09 p.m.

Nearby, a crash on I-24 eastbound at at mile marker 182 blocked the center lane and later blocked all lanes. That crash was reported at 2:44 p.m.

Both incidents were expected to be cleared up by about 5 p.m.
