The driver of a tractor trailer carrying air conditioning units died Saturday evening after driving off a bridge and landing upside down.

Robert Winn, of El Paso, Texas, was traveling on I-75 north near Cleveland, Tenn. at mile marker 21 when the right front tire exploded and he lost control of the truck.

The truck hit a guardrail and a concrete bridge railing before rolling off the bridge and landing on its top on Harris Creek Road below shortly after 5 p.m.

Winn, 69, was wearing his seatbelt but did not survive the crash.
