Bluewater Grille, a restaurant on Broad Street near Chattanooga's waterfront, has closed after 13 years.
Josh Kern, chief experience officer for operator Craftworks Holdings, said the company chose to shut down the eatery "as the landscape of downtown Chattanooga as evolved."
"We are in the process of identifying a potential Craftworks Holdings brand or a totally new concept altogether," he said about the re-use of the site at 224 Broad St.
The last day of the restaurant, which specializes in coastal seafood dishes and beef options, was Sunday.
"We were very proud to serve the downtown Chattanooga community for so many years and we look forward to re-concepting the restaurant and opening our doors to serve the next generation of Chattanooga diners soon," Kern said in a statement.
Craftworks Holdings operates two Big River Grille & Brewing Works, two Logan's Roadhouse and two Old Chicago locations in Chattanooga, all of which remain open, the company said.
