Is Jeff Walz leaving the University of Louisville to coach the Lady Vols?

According to a source, Louisville is prepared to lose women's basketball coach Jeff Walz to Tennessee at the end of the season.

Walz is 330-99 in 12 seasons in Louisville. Has 3 FF, 2 runner-up finishes on resume.

Cards are 31-3, in Sweet 16 against Oregon State Friday.

Is Jeff Walz leaving the University of Louisville for the University of Tennessee? Possibly.

According to a source from our own Gene Henley, Louisville is prepared to lose Walz to Tennessee at the end of the season. Holly Warlick is still currently the Lady Vols head coach.

"There's no job open," Walz said in a press conference after the rumor caused a firestorm on the Internet.

"If the Lakers come open I might leave. If they offer me the job I will be gone," he added jokingly.

"I'm not even gonna worry about, and we're gonna continue now to focus on our basketball team."
