Chattanooga firefighters managed to rescue two dogs from a Brainerd home after it was apparently struck by lightning, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at the scene at around 9:36 p.m. Wednesday to find fire showing through the roof. After battling the flames and conducting a search, no humans were found in the home. The two dogs were rescued uninjured, the release states.

The cause of the fire has been determined as a lightning strike.
