Authorities are looking for a man that investigators say harassed a teenage girl while she was shopping with a family member Wednesday evening at the Kroger on West Walnut Avenue, according to a Dalton Police Department news release.

The incident was recorded by store surveillance and police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

The 17-year-old girl was shopping with her grandmother in one of the store's aisles when a man ran up to her suddenly and lunged, as if to hand her a dollar bill. The girl tried at first to ignore him, but then later reached out to take the bill in hopes of getting the man to leave her alone.

The suspect then snatched the bill away and continued to stand by her. The girl said she was frightened and told the man she would call police if he didn't leave. The man appeared to be smiling. The man then left, and witnesses said he left the store riding a bicycle in the direction of Dug Gap Road.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, wearing camouflage pants and a short sleeved white polo-style shirt. He has short dark hair and a mustache.
