Chattanooga police seek information after man shot while walking

A man is receiving treatment for injuries after a shooting, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

The 34-year-old told police he was walking near 2400 Fifth Avenue when he was shot. Police were called at around 12:15 am. Saturday to a local hospital where the man was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man said he didn't recall what time the incident occurred, the release states.

Police are asking for anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip via the CPD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
