Man injured in early Tuesday morning shooting on South Kelly Street

A 38-year-old man has been hospitalized after he was injured in a Tuesday morning shooting, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Police were notified that the victim had driven himself to a local hospital with a gunshot wound at around 1:18 a.m.

Investigators determined that the man had been driving in the 1600 block of South Kelly Street when an unknown vehicle pulled up and shot at him, the release states.
