One of professional golf's greatest legends, Jack Nicklaus, will be the speaker at the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce 14th Annual Benefit in June 2020.

Nicklaus — the "Golden Bear" — is not only a player of legend, but also a designer, philanthropist and good-will ambassador, according to a news release from the chamber in Athens, Tennessee.

Nicklaus in June 2018 received the Lincoln Medal from Ford's Theatre Society, making him only the fourth person in history to be honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom (2005), the Congressional Gold Medal (2015), and now the Lincoln Medal, according to officials. He is the first sportsman or athlete to do so.

Nicklaus' "competitive career spanned five decades and his legend has been built with 120 professional tournament victories worldwide and a record 18 professional major-championship titles," the news release states. He tallied six Masters, five PGA championships, four U.S. Opens and three British Opens.

Individual tickets went on sale Sept. 3 and tables are available, officials said.
