FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities in Tennessee say a detention deputy has been fired after he was arrested during a domestic violence dispute.
News outlets report former Williamson County Sheriff's Office Deputy William Watterud was charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
Spokeswoman Sharon Puckett said the 28-year-old was fired Tuesday after the department learned of his arrest. Puckett says he worked for the department for five months.
Authorities didn't immediately release details of the case. The investigation is ongoing.
