Chattanooga man dies after Saturday afternoon shooting on Larry Drive

One person is dead after a shooting Saturday afternoon, according to Chattanooga police.

While en route to a call of a car crash just before 3 p.m. in the 1500 block of Pin Oak Drive, officers were told the car's occupant had a gunshot injury, according to a news release.

Police arrived on scene and located the car and victim, who was transported to a local hospital. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Marshon Langford, died from his injuries, the release states.

Investigators determined Langford was shot in the 3800 block of Larry Drive.

No suspect information has been released.
