Man found dead after house fire in northern Alabama

SOMERVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly house fire in northern Alabama.

Dennis Dwayne Malone, 53, of Somerville was killed in the blaze early Monday morning, the Morgan County coroner said.

The fire happened on East Upper River Road in Somerville, WHNT-TV reported.

Malone's body was found inside the home after the blaze was extinguished. Morgan County sheriff's officials said the cause of death and how the fire started remained under investigation on Monday.

Somerville is just southwest of Huntsville.
