Miller & Martin wins recognition

Miller & Martin PLLC, a Chattanooga-based law firm, has again received the ranking of "highly recommended" litigation firm in the Benchmark Litigation survey conducted by the Legal Media Group, a division of Euromoney.

A news release also stated Roger Dickson and Randy Wilson, members of Miller & Martin who are in its Chattanooga office, have been named "Local Litigation Stars."

"We are honored that our clients and our peers in the legal profession have given feedback that places us among this distinguished list of firms in Tennessee," firm Chairman Melvin Malone said.

Miller & Martin has offices in Atlanta and Nashville as well as Chattanooga.


Goldberg earns fellow designation

Andrea Goldberg, a financial services professional with Capital Financial Group LLC agency, has received the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation from the American College.

"Acquiring the LUTCF designation is a valued milestone in my career," she said. "With the added knowledge I have gained, I can do an even better job of helping clients analyze their overall financial situations and help protect their assets now and into the future."


Advanced Foot Care relocates in Hixson

Advanced Foot Care Centers LLP of Chattanooga and North Georgia has said its Hixson office has been relocated to 5617 Highway 153 in Suite 102 of Summit Suites.

A news release sated the business provides quality foot care from its medical staff of podiatrists.

The release also stated that among the commonly treated conditions are ingrown nails, sports injuries, flat feet, bunions/hammertoes, ankle injuries and heel pain.


Phillip Fleenor joins law firm

Local attorney Phillip E. Fleenor has joined the law firm of Duncan, Hatcher & Hixson P.C.

Fleenor is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.

His practice is in the areas of construction disputes, employment matters, insurance and commercial litigation.

He and his wife, the former Pamela McNut, live on Lookout Mountain with their children Griff and Michelle.

Duncan, Hatcher & Hixson is a Chattanooga-based law firm that focuses on the business and litigation needs of lending, real estate, construction and individual clients. It also provides real estate title and escrow services through its affiliate, Hatcher Title & Escrow Inc.


Engineering firm moves, adds three

Littlejohn Engineering Associates Inc. has announced the relocation of its Chattanooga office to Suite B at 210 Hamm Road.

Additionally, the company announced the addition of Scott McDonald, Travis Wilson and Matt Williamson.

McDonald has become a project manager with the environmental division of the office here. He is a University of Tennessee graduate with 15 years of engineering experience. He previously was office manager for Jordan, Jones & Goulding Inc.

Wilson also is a project manager in the environmental division and has more than 15 years of experience in sanitary sewer collection system projects. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and has previous experience with Jordan, Jones and Goulding and ADS Environmental.

Williamson, a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, is a project engineer in the environmental division of the Chattanooga office.

Littlejohn Engineering was formed in 1989 and has a combined staff of 75.


Former resident joins Knoxville office

Kellen Gibson, a former Chattanoogan, has joined the Knoxville office of Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain PC, an accounting and business consulting firm.

She is serving in a staff position in the audit department of the business.

She earned her bachelor's degree and master's of accountancy from the University of Tennessee.


Meyer, Simmons join law firm

Philip M. Meyer II and Scott Evan Simmons have become associates in the Chattanooga office of the law firm of Miller & Martin PLLC.

Meyer, a graduate of the University of Tennessee and the UT College of Law, practices in the corporate department, where he primarily deals with mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law.

Simmons focuses his practice on business litigation in the labor and employment and litigation departments. He holds a bachelor's and MBA degree from the University of Tennessee and received his law degree from the UT College of Law.

Miller & Martin is a regional law firm with offices in Atlanta and Nashville as well as Chattanooga.


Tina Raulston named by bank

Tina Roberts Raulston, who has 20 years of mortgage experience, has become a mortgage loan originator at Community Trust & Banking Co. She will be located at 4712 Hixson Pike in Hixson.

Raulston and her husband, Marshall, live in Soddy-Daisy.


Chattanooga Red Cross adds staff

The Greater Chattanooga Area American Red Cross has announced staffing changes to add to its ability to respond to large-scale disasters and expand its community education, development and marketing programs.

"We are excited to have some very experienced and energetic new staffers on board," Executive Director Barbara Alexander said. "Our ability to handle even larger disasters is critical as the region continues to experience growth. We have to be prepared for any emergency and our new team is already working with our volunteers to make sure we can respond when needed."

Individual Client Services Coordinator Emily Fish and Mass Care Coordinator Tiffany Buford have joined the team. They do so as Service to the Armed Forces case worker Virginia Hendricks has retired after 27 years of assisting local military families in crisis.

Claudia Moore, director of marketing for three years, has also become chapter's new chief development officer.

Shelly Fouts is filling the newly created post of community events coordinator, and Debra Welsh manages marketing and public relations activities for the chapter.

A news release stated the American Red Cross, among its efforts, shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters.
