A team that included Chattanooga businessman Byron DeFoor and AC/DC front man Brian Johnson finished 32nd in a field of 59 racers at the Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona Beach, according to Grand-Am Road Racing.
The Michael Shank Racing winning team was driven by A.J. Allmendinger, Justin Wilson, John Pew and Oswaldo Negri Jr.
DeFoor said one reason for entering the race that ended Sunday was to help draw attention to and raise money for the Austin Hatcher Foundation, a locally based group that fights pediatric cancer.
