The First Tennessee Bank building is located between Market and Broad Streets in downtown Chattanooga.Bank deposits in metropolitan Chattanooga grew 0.7 percent in 12 months ended June 30. The 27 banks operating in the 6-county region collectively shared more than $8.5 billion in deposits. Chattanooga's biggest banks in 2014 are:
• 1. First Tennessee, $2.06 billion in Chattanooga with 21 branches
• 2. SunTrust, $1.59 billion with 25 branches
• 3. Regions, $1.15 billion with 23 branches
• 4. CapitalMark, $510.9 million with one local branch
• 5. First Volunteer, $416.1 million with 11 branches.
