The new 8,640-square-foot restaurant is located at the site of the former Cozymel's Coastal Mex restaurant at 1654 Westgate Circle. Cozymel's closed its doors last November after being in business for more than 15 years.
Kentucky-based hospitality group Greer Companies submitted plans to demolish the building and take over the site last year.
Chattanooga's Cheddar's location opened almost two years ago.
