Trail Runner magazine has included RootsRated among four "must-have mobile apps."
"RootsRated has beta for any outdoor activity you can imagine, in or around most cities in the U.S.," the Feb. 11 piece says.
The Chattanooga startup founded by Fynn Glover and Rock/Creek's Mark McKnight relies on local experts for its inside scoop.
"It's more like asking the guys at the local running shop about their favorite trails than consulting a guidebook written by a non-runner," Trail Runner says.
