Cabela's is now accepting online applications to fill about 140 full-time, part-time and seasonal positions the retailer plans to hire for its Fort Oglethorpe store, which is scheduled to open this spring.

The Sidney, Neb.based outdoor retailer is building the 70,000-square-foot store along Interstate 75 behind the Costco store as one of 13 new outlets planned this year. Managers will be hired first and those selected for such positions will help hire other workers in advance of the opening.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for people who love the outdoors to work in the outdoor industry," Ellis Yarrell, general manager of the new store, said in a statement today. "There are a variety of positions available, so we encourage everyone to get online and find an opportunity that interests them."

Cabela's employees work within an outdoor environment to create a fun and unique shopping experience while providing superior customer service. Interested applicants with a passion for the outdoors are encouraged to apply for positions in all departments including hunting, camping, fishing, home and cabin, customer service and more.

Anyone interested in applying should visit www.cabelas.jobs, click on "Job Search," then select United States and Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., for the location and click "Search." Select a desired position then follow instructions to log in and apply. Selected applicants will be contacted for further information.
