Chattanooga Allergy Clinic has expanded to Dalton, Ga., where the medical practice opened its eighth office this week at 1506 North Thornton Avenue, Suite C, next to Cherokee Pharmacy.

"Our patient growth in North Georgia has led us to open an office in Dalton," Dr. Marc Cromie, an allergy and asthma speciailist and one of the principals in the medical practice, said in a statement today. "We anticipate this new office will improve wait times for our Fort Oglethorpe patients, and provide a shorter drive time for our Whitfield County patients."

Named Chattanooga Times Free Press 'Best of the Best' allergists in Chattanooga for the last six years, Chattanooga Allergy Clinic is celebrating 40 years of service to Chattanooga and surrounding communities with seven other locations in East Brainerd, downtown Chattanooga, Fort Oglethorpe, Cleveland, Hixson, Erlanger on Volkswagen Drive, and Jasper, Tenn.

"Having added three new locations in the last few months, we knew we would have to bring on another physician to keep up with the patient growth," Cromie said.

The Dalton center will be headed by Dr. Jennifer Patel, an Allergy and Immunology Fellow as well as an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Patel also was a varsity soccer player LSU while receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology.

Dr. Patel is a Diplomat of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (Board Certified) and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Most recently Dr. Patel lived in Baltimore, MD, serving as a physician at the Allergy and Asthma Center.
