The second annual Startup Week Chattanooga, similar to other startup weeks in Denver, San Diego and Boulder, Colo., will highlight Chattanooga startup companies this fall from Oct. 12 through Oct. 16.

Organizers of the week-long assistance program for entrepreneurs are inviting startup companies to submit proposals for activities and programming they would like to host during Startup Week this year, from panel discussions and speakers to open houses and mixers. The five-day showcase of Chattanooga's local startup community is built around three tracks - Tech, Social, and Creative - and each will feature a variety of events that allow organizations and individuals to learn from one another.

Startup Week's core committee will be holding an information session at Lamp Post Group on Thursday, June 25 at 5:30 p.m. for organizations interested in participating.

"Last year's event was an excellent representation of our community's commitment to a vibrant startup scene and fostering a culture of innovation," said Allison Reedy, programs and events director for The Company Lab (CO.LAB). "This year's multi-day collaborative celebration will provide an opportunity for members of the startup community to continue the conversation, exchange ideas, learn and teach."
