Ty Ross, Dalton city administrator, stands outside City Hall.Dalton didn't make it to the next round of the Appalachian Regional Commission's grant application process, in its pursuit of $40,390 to help fund a feasibility study for a business incubator.
The city had planned to put an additional $17,310 toward the study. Dalton still believes in the concept and plans to explore alternative funding sources, including local ones, according to Dalton City Administrator Ty Ross.
