Two of Chattanooga's most popular high-end women's boutiques are under common ownership after the owner of Embellish shoes and accessory boutique in Warehouse Row acquired the Willa Collection boutique on Chattanooga's North Shore on Monday.
Terri Holley, who opened Embellish in 2005, said she has long had a mutual respect for the Willa Collection, which Kent Magee opened in Chattanooga in 2007 at 307 Manufacturers Road, Suite 109.
"Willa Collection offers contemporary clothing, accessories and shoes from around the world," Holley said in a statement announcing her store purchase. "From Rag & Bone, Tibi and Vince to Tom Ford Eyewear, Kent has assembled a collection that meets the desires of those who are very fashion forward in their styles. Our shared commitment to detail and quality is one of the reasons why this transaction has been such an easy one."
Magee said Holley "shares the same business philosophies as I do, treating clients and team members with the utmost respect and professionalism. Because of this, I know Willa Collection is in very capable hands."
A celebration marking the ownership change is planned for May 16. Holley said customers can enjoy brunch foods with mimosas and bellinis during the early part of day, followed by light midday offerings for on-the-go professionals during lunch hour. Later in the day, clients can shop while enjoying a glass of wine with some chocolate as they peruse the latest clothing and accessories offered at Willa Collection provided by the same staff they've known for years.
"I am thrilled to own one of the Southeast's most beloved boutiques," said Holley. "We've always known that Willa Collection and Embellish were very special shopping destinations, and now it's nice to provide sister stores to meet the needs of our shared clientele."
