Custom-built bed and breakfast coming to East Brainerd

-Project: St. Francis Cottage, custom-built bed and breakfast.

-Location: 1329 Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga.

-Owners: Wallace and Nancy Braud.

-Investment: Around $500,000.

-Size: Seven bedroom cottage set on 2.3 acres, totaling 4,700 square feet. An adjacent two-bedroom and two-bathroom house will sit on three acres and also be available for vacationers.

-Contractor: America's Home Place, Chattanooga office.

-Engineer: ASA Engineering, Campbell and Asso.

-History: Wallace and Nancy Braud are Chattanooga residents living currently on the East Brainerd property that will soon be the site of St. Francis Cottage. They will own and operate the bed and breakfast in semi-retirement.

-Scope: St. Francis will feature urban cottage accents and atmosphere and will be located on wooded property in the East Brainerd area. The Brauds look to host visitors to the city, as well as those passing through and those visiting loved ones at nearby East Brainerd senior living facilities.

St. Francis Cottage will also feature business meeting spaces with audio/visual infrastructure.

-Schedule: St. Francis Cottage is scheduled to be finished by April 2017.
