Food City shopping center bought in Rossville

Ziff Properties Inc. today unveiled the acquisition of the 35,872-square-foot Mountainview Shopping Center in Rossville, which is anchored by a Food City grocery store.

The Rossville Boulevard property, which will be substantially redeveloped, was purchased from a private owner from New York. 

Christian Chamblee, chief operating officer and director of acquisitions for Ziff Properties, said in a statement that the shopping center is an important grocery destination for families of the southern-most portions of the Chattanooga area.

Mount Pleasant, S.C.-based Ziff Properties specializes in the development, acquisition and management of commercial properties in the Southeast.

The company's 3 million-square-foot portfolio includes shopping centers, office buildings, and self-storage facilities.
