Seija Ojanpera, Owner of The Dwell Hotel, Terra Mae & Matilda Midnight poses for the 2016 Chatter Magazine issue of 20 under 40.The Dwell Hotel's dining space, Terra Mae, closed Monday for renovations and will reopen in early March with a new name and a different menu.
The Terra Mae Appalachian Bistro opened in early 2014 inside the then-StoneFort Inn on East 10th Street. Seija Ojanpera purchased the 110-year-old building in 2015 and transformed the space, introducing The Dwell Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel, and Matilda Midnight, a cocktail lounge opposite the restaurant space.
"The time is right to breathe new life into the space and menu," Ojanpera said in an announcement of the change Monday. "We can't wait to share it with our guests in a few short weeks."
The hotel and bar will remain open for regular business during the remodeling. Ojanpera also said all outstanding gift cards will continue to be honored at the new restaurant.
