DosBros Fresh Mexican Grill is yet another retailer that has moved into the south Broad Street area hoping to take advantage of the new development downtown.

DosBros, at 1700 Broad St., Suite #102, opened this month across from the 158-unit apartment building going up on 17th Street by developer John Murphy and a few blocks from the Pilgrim's Pride chicken processing plant. DosBros was founded in Cleveland by two friends, Milan Patel and Kush Shah, and the Broad Street location marks their sixth restaurant in the Chattanooga metro area.

"With all the new housing going in, we felt downtown was such a premiere area," Patel said. "We like to think we cater to everybody, but we feel there is a really strong millennial crowd there that is definitely our demographic."

Patel said the 2,500-square-foot restaurant also brings some different cuisine to the area. DosBros has locations in Hixson, Hamilton Place, Cleveland, Ooltewah and Dalton, Ga. Patel said the company is expanding soon to Nashville and Dickson, Tenn., too.

"There was not a lot of fast-casual Mexican in that area and so we thought it would be a place we can develop our brand," he said.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. District Manager Ciera McDonald said the menu is "à la carte," and prices are based on the meat chosen for each entree - chicken, steak, carnitas, barbacoa or even spicy tofu and veggies can be added. Customers can order a burrito, tacos, nachos, bowls, salads and quesadillas.

Draft and bottled beer is also available at the downtown and Hixson locations.

"We also have gluten-free options and can accomodate certain dietary restrictions," she said.

McDonald said that they hope to engage the local students at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, too. Each DosBros location hosts "Spirit Nights" on Tuesdays and 30 percent of sales are donated to approved organizations.

The location offers online ordering and pickup/delivery ChowNow and WAITR. For more information, visit their website at dosbros.com.
