Fastest growing major airports Among U.S. airports boarding more than 3 million passengers a year, the fastest growing in the past decade, due primarily to new hubs, expanded service and economic growth, were:
1. Dallas Love Field, up 90.4 percent
2. Austin-Bergstrom International, up 62.9 percent
3. Louis Armstrong New Orleans International, up 59.7 percent
4. San Francisco International, up 55.7 percent
5. Houston's William P. Hobby, up 54.2 percent

Airports like Memphis and Cincinnati that lost their hub carriers, suffered the biggest declines in passenger volumes
