What states have the most uninsured adults?

1. Texas, 19.9 percent of adults lack health insurance.

2. Oklahoma, 16.34 percent of adults lack health insurance

3. Georgia, 15.5 percent of adults lack health insurance

4. Alaska, 15.15 percent of adults lack health insurance

5. Mississippi, 14.6 percent of adults lack health insurance

Source: WalletHub data for 2017. For the U.S. as a whole, 9.9 percent of adults and 12.2 percent of all persons lacked health insurance last year. The study found 11.4 percent of adults in Alabama and 11.1 percent of adults in Tennessee lack health insurance.
