Former CEO of Reliance Human Capital Management starting Chattanooga HR firm

Jack Silberman, the former CEO of Reliance Human Capital Management, has left Reliance to start his own benefits firm, the Silberman Group.

Silberman said he is leveraging his decade of expertise and leadership in the employee benefits arena to help employers better manage employee benefits needs. The new company will offer employee benefit consulting, compliance and human capital management.

"I am intrigued by analyzing client's business challenges," Silberman said in his announcement of his startup business. "As an employer, I know exactly what they are going through. I have a passion for helping people navigate this aspect of their business that can be overwhelming and complicated."

Silberman, a former Dell operations manager and advisor for JMD Group, headed Reliance Human Capital for most of the past four years.

"I like to think outside of the box to advise my clients and help them select the best benefits solutions because, ultimately, it attracts talent and can improve employee retention," said Silberman.

A Chattanooga native and graduate of the McCallie School, Silberman said his experience heading one of the nation's 's fastest growing benefits firms highlighted his skills as an entrepreneurial executive.

"I know, first-hand, how important it is for companies to maintain an efficient and affordable cost structure in an ever-changing healthcare environment," he said. "After working for a brokerage firm serving clients of all sizes in the benefits space and running a company as CEO, I feel I bring a unique perspective to my clients.

In Chattanooga, Silberman has served as president of the McCallie Alumni Council, a board member for Family Promise of Greater Chattanooga, and museum Chair for the Creative Discovery Museum. A graduate of Leadership Chattanooga, Silberman also has worked with the ALS Association, the Society of Human Resources Managers, Young Life, UT Alumni, United Way Emerging Leaders and NAIFA.
