Morning Pointe Senior Living and Samaritan Center in Ooltewah partner for annual Christmas toy drive

Morning Pointe Senior Living and the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah have partnered for the Samaritan Center's annual Christmas toy drive for the past nine years.

Every year since 2010, Morning Pointe has collected toys to help stock the Samaritan Center's Christmas Toyland for the holidays, ensuring that every child in Hamilton County has the opportunity to experience of the Christmas season. In nine years, Morning Pointe has collected approximately $10,000 in donations.

This year, as in years past, Morning Pointe residents and associates gathered at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford to present Samaritan Center representatives with several barrels overflowing with toys. Morning Pointe communities throughout Hamilton County collected donations for the toy drive, focusing particularly on toys that would appeal to teens and tweens, as the Samaritan Center often experiences a shortage of gifts for the this important demographic.

Participating Morning Pointe communities included Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford, Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove, Morning Pointe of Hixson, and Morning Pointe of East Hamilton.

"I couldn't be more proud of all of our communities," said Morning Pointe Senior Living President and co-founder Greg A. Vital. "Each year, it brings us much joy to partner with the Samaritan Center to open our hearts and spread holiday cheer to families throughout Hamilton County."
