Adults age 24 and older wanting to know more about the TN Reconnect program for adults returning to the classroom at community colleges may attend one of three sessions this week by Chattanooga State Community College to outline and explain the program.

Director of Adult Services Marsha Barker is taking Chattanooga State's TN Reconnect program on the road to provide information sessions at three YMCA locations this week. Participants will receive information about TN Reconnect, meet and chat with current ChattState Reconnect students, receive information about degree and certificate programs, and learn more about the many free services that Chattanooga State offers to help students on their path to success.

The Tennessee Reconnect Scholarship is a last-dollar scholarship that will allow all Tennessee adults who qualify to attend an eligible institution free of tuition and mandatory fees. This program began a year ago with the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year.

These information sessions about the program are free and open to the public on the following days and times:

* North River YMCA, 4138 Hixson Pike: Tuesday, June 25 from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Main Lobby

* Downtown YMCA, 301 W. 6th Street: Thursday, June 27 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Board Room
