Best Places for Young Families

LendingTree ranked Tennessee cities based upon seven criteria of income, education, travel time and housing to identify the best places for young people to live. The top communities in the state are:

1. Brentwood

2. Farragut

3. South Cleveland

4. Nolensville

5. Arlington

6. Forest Hills

7. Lakeland

8. Signal Mountain

9. Germantown

10. Collegedale

Source: Lending Tree. Among 104 cities in Tennessee included in the study, Red Bank ranked No. 29, Soddy-Daisy ranked No. 68, Chattanooga ranked No. 83, East Ridge ranked No. 84. Signal Mountain rated favorably for education, home ownership, above average income and natural beauty. Collegedale had virtually no unemployment and above average household income and home ownership.
