What U.S. cities have the fastest growing rental rates for apartments?

Among America's 100 largest cities, Chattanooga ranked among the top cities for the biggest percentage increase in the median rental rate for one-bedroom apartments over the past 12 months.

1. Cleveland, Ohio, up 16% to $940 a month

2. Columbus, Ohio, up 15.7% to$810 a month

2. Lincoln, Nebraska, up 15.7% to $810 a month

2. Newark, New Jersey, up 15.7% to $1,330 a month

5. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, up 15.5% to $1,120 a month

5. Rochester, New York, up 15.5% to $970 a month

7. Chattanooga, up 15.4% to $900 a month

7. Cincinnati, up 15.4% to $900 a month

9. Norfolk, Virginia, up 15% to $920 a month

10. Detroit, Michigan, up 14.5% to $710 a month
