Dr. Thomas Devlin, a Chattanooga neurologist who helped Erlanger Health System gain national and international recognition in stroke care, has signed on with CHI Memorial.

Devlin previously oversaw Erlanger's neurology group of more than 20 clinicians. He co-directed the Erlanger Southeast Regional Stroke Center - one of the busiest stroke centers in the world with over 55 referring hospitals supplying service to over 40,000 square miles.

According to a news release, Devlin will join CHI Memorial in September 2020 with offices located on the eighth floor of the Missionary Ridge Medical Tower, 725 Glenwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN.

"Today, we are pleased to share our vision to accelerate the development of a preeminent regional stroke center at CHI Memorial with the appointment of Thomas Devlin, MD, PhD, as physician executive of Neurosciences," said Janelle Reilly, market CEO, CHI Memorial, in the news release. "At this transformational time in the history of health care, the combined strength of Dr. Devlin's visionary leadership and CHI Memorial's excellent system of care will join together to pursue the designation of Comprehensive Stroke Center, the highest designated standard of care for regional stroke centers."
