Drizly, the nation's first and largest alcohol e-commerce marketplace, has expanded its on-demand delivery service to Chattanooga.
Through partnerships with five local alcohol retailers, adults of legal drinking age can now shop on Drizly for wine, beer and spirits and get delivery to their doorsteps in under 60 minutes.
Drizly's initial partner retailers in Chattanooga include Eagle Liquor, Chattanooga Wine & Spirits, Easy Liquor and Wine, Riverside Wine & Spirits and Harry's Wine and Spirits. Drizly first became available in Tennessee in 2016 when it launched in Nashville, and since has expanded to Knoxville and Memphis.
Alcohol delivery has expanded in Chattanooga since Mayor Andy Berke signed the executive order on March 27, granting businesses permission to acquire a special 30-day off-site beer permit that would allow the delivery of commercially sealed beer— such as cans, bottles or growlers— to be ordered for delivery.
Brown Bag Delivery started offering alcohol delivery to homes in Chattanooga more than three years ago and Dinner Delivered added alcohol delivery to its service menu last year.
Blaine Grinna, director of retailer development at Drizly, said amid the COVID-19 pandemic alcohol shoppers are shopping online for alcohol delivery in unprecedented numbers.
"With people spending more time at home, Drizly's technology enables us to continue providing our customers with premium service, and reach new ones, at a time when online shopping and home delivery have become close to essential," said Brijesh Patel, manager of Eagle Liquor.
Consumers of legal drinking age in cities throughout Tennessee, and in over 200 markets across North America, can visit Drizly.com or download the Drizly app (App Store and Google Play) to shop inventory from local retailers in their market.
