Kira Wheat and Andy Zimmerman join HHM CPA firm

Accountants Kira Wheat and Andy Zimmerman have joined HHM Certified Public Accountants, a CPA and consulting firm with locations in Chattanooga and Memphis.

Wheat brings more than 16 years of experience to the firm's tax practice. As a senior tax manager, Wheat will assist high net worth and closely held business clients in the areas of tax compliance, tax planning and staff and project management. Wheat comes to Chattanooga from a Chicago-based public accounting firm where she worked her way up to Senior Tax Manager. Wheat is a graduate of North Central College and is a Quickbooks Proadvisor.

Zimmerman, CPA, joins the tax department as a staff accountant. He has more than three years of tax experience and is a graduate of Messiah University.

Tim Cook to head Legacy center in Cleveland

Tim Cook, who joined the Legacy Senior Living family as director of chaplaincy earlier this year, has been promoted to executive director of its hometown facility, Legacy Village of Cleveland, after a successful expansion of the network's chaplaincy program this summer.

In his new role, Cook will oversee the day-to-day operations of Legacy Village of Cleveland, which provides a home-like environment to more than 70 Bradley County seniors and is part of a network of 14 senior living communities based in Cleveland.

After a successful 15-year career in industry and ministry, Cook joined Legacy this summer, following in the footsteps of his father, Phillip Cook, who helped develop the chaplaincy program that serves Legacy's 14 senior living communities throughout the Southeast. Most recently, Cook had served with the Social Security Administration as a district manager in Clarksville, Tenn.

 

Earthscapes owner joins Vista peer advisory board

Krista Stein, owner and president of Earthscapes Inc. since 2012, has been selected to be a member of a chief executive peer advisory board in East Tennessee by Vistage Worldwide Inc. She joins over 250 senior executives, business owners and CEOs across Tennessee who are Vistage members. A Chattanooga resident, Stein said her goal is to build a great team that produces great results.

"We are the ones who plant the trees, so the next generation gets the shade," she said.

Vistage members meet monthly with peers from local non-competing businesses to help one another improve their companies and themselves. Membership is by invitation only and requires a nomination and a selection process.
