Chattanooga-based Bolts & Nuts taking on new name as it expands inventory

Bolts & Nuts, a nationwide industrial distribution firm started in Chattanooga in 1979, is taking on a new name as it expands its reach and merchandise.

The company was rebranded Monday as Stock'd Supply following major acquisitions and organic growth in the past four years that has grown the firm to 100 employees at 10 locations.

"We want our customers to realize that we're still offering the vendor managed inventory, fastener and solution-centered expertise they know us for, but now we're offering a lot more," said Keith Shope, CEO of Stock'd Supply. "Our growth and expansion of services was such an exciting transition for us, we thought it warranted a new brand."

The new Stock'd Supply brand offers an entire suite of services for manufacturers from custom precision machined components to maintenance, repair and operations equipment and safety products.

"The strategic rationale for the rebranding is to harmonize the various brands under one name," said David Hadani, the principal of Nebraska Heavy Industries, an investment firm based in Lincoln, Nebraska that acquired a majority of Bolts & Nuts in November 2013. "For us, it's all about investing in the future of industrial infrastructure in the United States because we believe there is a very good long-term future in industrial services for manufacturing. We really look forward to growing Stock'd Supply, always remaining a Chattanooga-based corporation. We like the talent, the community and the investments we see in Chattanooga."

Hadani said he sees both organic growth and future acquisitions for the company. Stock'd Supply sells fastening and hardware for both their products , plus the industrial supplies to run their own operations.

Started in 1979, Bolts & Nuts originally served the Chattanooga area market as a regional fastener distributor, but the company has since grown to serve markets stretching from North Carolina to California with a catalog of more than 180,000 parts,
