Bobby Bishop joins WWTA as Lakeside representative

Bobby Bishop was recently appointed to serve as the Lakesite representative on the Hamilton County Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA).

Bishop is a 23-year veteran of Davron Technolgies, Inc, where he serves as office manager. He has an associate's degree from Chattanooga State Community College and earned his bachelor of science in business from Bryan College.

"We are excited to welcome Bobby to the WWTA board of commissioners," said Dick Gee, board chairman of the WWTA. "He brings new insights and enthusiasm to this appointment and we look forward to working with him."

Laxmi Parsa earns board certification as transplant hepatologist

Dr. Laxmi Parsa, a board-certified gastroenterologist with Erlanger Gastroenterology, recently earned a second board-certification in the area of transplant hepatology. Dr. Parsa is the only board-certified transplant hepatologist in the Chattanooga region.

Transplant hepatology is a subspecialty of gastroenterology focusing on advanced liver diseases that require liver transplant. These diseases are caused by health issues such as viral hepatitis, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), autoimmune disease or acute liver failure. As a transplant hepatologist, Dr. Parsa manages chronic liver disease, identifies patients who require transplants and provides expertise prior to and after a transplant procedure.

"I've worked with Dr. Parsa for many years and he is a superb physician and colleague," said Erlanger Chief of Gastroenterology, Dr. Arslan Kahloon. "We're very fortunate to have his level of transplant hepatology expertise here at Erlanger. As the only board-certified transplant hepatologist in the region, providing this type of advanced care locally is a great benefit to the community and our patients."

Dr. Parsa received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from NTR University of Health Sciences in India. Following medical school, he completed an internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York. Dr. Parsa received his gastroenterology, hepatology and transplant hepatology fellowship training at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis.

Realty Title names W. Brad Lehman to head Mid-South divisions

Realty Title announces that W. Brad Lehman has been named president of its Middle Tennessee, Chattanooga, East Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia divisions. Lehman will be responsible for leading and overseeing operations for 25 offices that conduct closings for the sale and refinance of residential and commercial properties.

Lehman has an extensive background in the title industry, having served in multiple senior management positions for two national title insurance underwriters and working for a family-owned title company local to Brentwood, Tennessee for a combined 25 years. Additionally, he has worked as a sales and marketing consultant with fortune 100 companies in the healthcare, mortgage and insurance loss recovery industries.

As an active member of his community, Lehman has served on the Rape & Sexual Abuse board for fundraising, the Fast Track program at Vanderbilt University, multiple boards for local chambers of commerce, and boards within the mortgage and real estate communities.

 

FASTSIGNS recognized as top performing center

FASTSIGNS of Chattanooga, a local sign and graphics provider, was recognized as a top performing center in the FASTSIGNS network out of more than 740 locations worldwide at the 2021 Virtual FASTSIGNS/Signwave International Convention.

Owned by Cindy & Phil Bacon, FASTSIGNS of Chattanooga was presented with the Sales Achievement Award for Highest Volume Center, which recognizes the five U.S. centers with the highest total sales between October 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020. In addition, FASTSIGNS received a CEO Circle Award, which recognizes the top 25 centers with the highest sales volume in the U.S. and Canada between Oct. 1, 2019 and Sept. 30, 2020.

"We are thrilled to be recognized as a top performing center in the FASTSIGNS network, and we are grateful for the opportunity to assist businesses and organizations over the last year," said Phil Bacon.
