Used car prices in Chattanooga jumped 31.6% in the 12 months ending in August, adding $7,545 to the average used car sales price, according to a study by the website iSeeCars.com.
In the wake of the computer chip shortage and supply shortages for some new vehicles, used car prices, on average, rose nationwide by 26.2 percent, or $6,454 per vehicle, among the 1.9 million vehicle sales analyzed by iSeeCars.com
The cars with the greatest year-over-year price increases in Chattanooga from August 2020 to August 2021 were:
1. Nissan Sentra
2. Nissan Altima
3. Chevrolet Equinox
4. Ram Pickup 1500
5. Toyota Camry
