Mecum's first auction in Tennessee held in conjunction with the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival generated more than $18.7 million in vehicle sales with more than 84% of the 543 vehicles put up for sale selling during the 2-day auction.
David B. Morton, manager of communications and event marketing for Mecum Auctions, said the Chattanooga auction "proved to be an unequivocal success with standing-room-only crowds" and "an impressive sell through rate."
Individual sales were topped by a nearly new 2021 Mercedes-Benz G550 Brabus Edition that sold for over $300,000, followed by a handful of Corvettes and other collector favorites. The top-selling vehicles at the Mecum auction in Chattanooga on Oct 15 and Oct. 16 were:

4. 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible at $176,000

7. 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible at $159,500
8. 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air at $148,500
9. 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS at $143,000
