As the event grows, so does the focus of the Southside Stroll, formerly known as the Southside ArtStroll and, before that, Last Fridays on Main.
Tonight, in addition to the usual cast of artists, photographers, crafters, chefs, roasters and stylists who inhabit the galleries and other businesses in the district, a curvaceous cutie with a signature red hair bow and lipstick will make an appearance at Merchants on Main.
"Several of us will have music, food and other fun events," said a news release from the East Main Street retailer. "This time we are having a Ms. Pac-Man tournament."
The winner will receive a $20 coupon to use in the store.
Merchants who participate in the monthly strolls offer extended business hours, snacks and artful libations, generally from 5 to 8 p.m. on the last Friday of the month from May to September.
The event features businesses along East Main Street, West Main Street, Mitchell Avenue, Rossville Avenue and Williams Street.
