Parsons Dance, a New York City-based modern dance company known for a sexy athleticism, exuberant personality and joyous movement, will offer the next performance in the inSight/Patten Performances series at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Founded in 1985 by artistic director David Parsons and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley, Parsons Dance is internationally renowned for its energized ensemble work. The company fields eight full-time dancers and maintains a repertory of more than 80 works (20 with commissioned scores) choreographed by Parsons, whom New York Magazine called "one of modern dance's great living dance makers." The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the UTC Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St. Tickets are $29 for adults, $24 for seniors and $15 for students.
