Area 61 will host First Friday with the theme "Southside Finale" on Friday, Oct. 6, at the gallery, 61 E. Main St.
The gallery and its family of 30 local artists are relocating to the Golden Gateway in downtown Chattanooga later this year. Friday night's event will celebrate new beginnings as well as serve as a farewell and way to thank patrons it has gained in the Southside.
Visitors are invited to drop by any time between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. to enjoy the art, adult beverages and speak with the artists. New art will be displayed and some works will be discounted with "moving incentives."
