Patrons of Back Alley Productions who enjoyed the tale of "Irish Courage," which Back Alley presented last year, will want to follow its sequel, "An Irish Courage Christmas," which opens Friday, Dec. 7, for eight performances over three weekends.

"An Irish Courage Christmas" will be presented by Back Alley at the Mars Theatre, 117 N. Chattanooga St. in LaFayette, Georgia. Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7-8, 14-15, 21-22; and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 16.

Based on "The Playboy of the Western World" and "Finnegan's Wake," this show set in the sleepy town of Mayo is a Christmas celebration unlike any other, complete with music, dance, laughter and an authentic Irish twist.

The original script brings to life the same characters and fun of "Irish Courage." However, it's not necessary to have seen "Irish Courage" to enjoy this sequel. "An Irish Courage Christmas" is a festive celebration about storytelling, Irish tradition, friendship, community, love, loss and miracles.

Tickets are $12, $13 and $16. They can be purchased in advance at www.bapshows.com.
