The acclaimed traveling exhibit of the 2018 Tennessee Watercolor Society's 36th Exhibition makes its final stop in Chattanooga this month.

Juror-selected paintings from the state's finest watermedia artists will be featured in the Main Gallery of the Association for Visual Arts, 30 Frazier Ave., from Friday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 26. It opens with a first Friday reception, 5:30-8 p.m., with many of the artists in attendance.

The traveling exhibit includes 14 of the 20 award winners, including Best of Show $2,500 winner Judy Lavoie of Tellico Plains. Her "Eat Chicken," portraying two cows behind a rusted farm gate, is a tribute to rural Tennessee.

Chattanooga-area award winners include Harriet Chipley, Mark Cobbe, Anne Davis and Irma Herzog.
