Burpie brings his stand-up comedy to The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., for six shows Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 22-25.
Burpie has opened for comedy greats such as Dave Chappelle, Damon Wayans and Jay Pharoah. He was a finalist in the 2012 Miller Lite Comedy Search, was featured on Shaquille O'Neal's "Shaq's Next Allstar" and was a 2017 cast member of MTV's "Wild 'N Out."
His says his goal is to make people forget their worries and problems for the amount of time that he is onstage and to just have fun.
Tickets are $10 for 7:30 p.m. shows Thursday and Sunday. Tickets are $16 for either the 7:30 or 9:45 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday.
